Neon /2006/

There is an abandoned Art Nouveau tenement in the centre of a Slovakian town. Once there used to be a shop on the ground floor, yet a broken neon sign “Kožušnictwo” is all that has left. The artists replaced dilapidated letters with photographs of the interior and the facade of the original tenement. Pictures placed in the neon lamp reveal the building’s true inner look with remainings of the bygone home intimacy – and by these means the original function of the neon light has been restored.
