Neon /2006/

Abandoned Art Nouveau tenement in the centre of a Slovakian town. Once there used to be a shop on the ground floor and all that is left from the time is a broken neon sign saying “Kožušnictwo”. The artists replaced dilapidated letters from lit coffers with photo of the interior and facade of the period tenement. Pictures which they placed in the neon lamp reveal the tenement true interior with remainings of the bygone home intimacy and as it were promote it – and by these means the original function of the neon light was restored.
